Robert “Breaking News” Wilonksy has been running some pretty stellar coverage of the Lakewood Theater re-do, getting scoop right and left. He just shared a juicy tidbit about the space’s would-be operators, and it’s something straight out of our moviegoing dreams.
He reported a while back that Kinney, the Lakewood Theater owner has been in talks with Alamo Drafthouse and another movie theater company as potential tenants. Today we found out that the other potential tenant is Aviation Cinemas — you know, the Texas Theatre guys. That means Dallas would have another art house cinema haven.
We just wanted to share our potential excitement.
