Hole in the Wall, a proud burger dive that lived up to its name, is slated for temporary closure.

According to a tweet this morning from owner Tom Ford, the 28-year old restaurant will shut its doors Monday “for a short time. New location soon! RT!”

While Hole in the Wall will serve its greasy double-meat and jalapeno cheese burgers all weekend, Ford is prepping for the hiatus: The restaurant’s phone number has been disconnected.

Hole in the Wall, located on Harry Hines near LBJ Freeway, was long associated with live blues music, but the restaurant scrapped its band schedule last fall when Ford declined to renew his liquor license. “I don’t think any one wants to hear music if they can’t have a drink,” a cashier told the Observer.
