Holiday Crime Initiative, Not Just Another Excellent Band Name

At this very moment, the city council’s Public Safety Committee is meeting to discuss, among other things, the so-called Holiday Crime Initiative aimed at preventing crime during this most wonderful time of the year. Specially, today’s presentation deals with two parts of town: the Dallas Police Department’s North Central Patrol Division (which includes Galleria Mall, Valley View Center and NorthPark Center) and its Southwest Patrol Division (where you’ll find the likes of Southwest Center Mall and Bishop Arts District, among other shopping areas). Of course, NorthPark’s pretty much a hotbed of criminal activity all year round. Or we could just wait for Paul Blart. –Robert Wilonsky
