People Magazine reports Jessica Simpson is going all Carrie Underwood on us. Simpson has headed to Nashville (hi, Matt Pulle) to begin recording, OK, wait for it, a country album. Not only that, she’ll also be penning some of the songs for the album saying, “Writing is a release for me.” Sort of like Pandora’s Box, I imagine.
Simpson says being a country girl from Texas, country is what she listened to and was merely waiting for the right time to do it. Which thankfully will be after the playoffs. — Rich Lopez
