Been a long time since we’ve posted a word about Jessica Simpson, but first thing this morning, Friend of Unfair Park PeterK sent me the link to a Navy-approved piece about Richardson’s own’s visit to the U.S.S. Harry Truman, currently deployed on the Arabian Sea in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. (Headline: “Jessica Simpson Embarks Truman.” Genius.) Sounds like quite the action-packed trip, with several of the seaman performing for Simpson — the winner gets to see her perform at the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree lighting in NYC, nice. Anyway.
The Official Wrap-Up from the Navy has a nice photo of Simpson dining with some sailors, among them a Corpus Christi native. But the Truman‘s site is where we find this photo (among others), which is now my wallpaper. Perhaps I can work in Cigar Guy and make it a meme.
