Yeezus has risen! This morning, Kanye West took to Twitter to announce his first solo tour in five years. The 23 city run starts on October 19th in Seattle, and will hit Dallas’ American Airlines Center on December 6th, before wrapping up in Houston. As if that wasn’t enough to whip the internet in a frenzy, Kendrick Lamar will be supporting Mr. West in all 23 cities, making the Yeezus Tour the hottest rap lineup of the fall season. No word yet as to when tickets will be going on sale, calls to promoter AEG were not immediately returned. The FADER, however, is reporting that tickets will be available next Friday.
Jay-Z also announced the Magna Carter Holy Grail Tour this morning, a 34-date run that will stop at the American Airlines Center on December 21st. Though many outlets are reporting that Justin Timberlake will be on the bill as well, Live Nation has confirmed that this is not the case. JT will be stopping through the AAC on December 4th on The 20/20 Experience Tour. The Magna Carter Holy Grail Tour has not announced any supporting performers at this time, but tickets will be on sale Thursday, September 12th, starting at 10am.
