$10,000

Maybe it’s a little bit of a stretch, but it’s hard for me not to make some comparisons. The Park Towers Condominium has been up in The Katy Trail Ice House’s grill since the bar opened, complaining about noise. They’ve requested truncated hours and soundproofing inside the popular Uptown beer garden. There’s even talk about building a massive wall.

Sounds a little like the woes between Museum Tower and the Nasher Sculpture Center.

According to the Dallas Business Journal, the disagreement between a small group of Park Tower residents and the Ice House has been going on since the bar opened.

The residents say they don’t want the bar to close, they just want an abatement agreement, which seems fair, but I’m wondering how the noise pouring out of the outdoor patio compares with the planes that fly overhead just before they land at Love Field.
