It’s been widely reported already that Burleson’s Own Kelly Clarkson, who is currently toiling away on her fifth studio effort, will be singing the national anthem tomorrow night in Arlington as the Texas Rangers host the San Francisco Giants for Game Three in the World Series. And, hey, that’s interesting news, for sure. A little but farther north in the metroplex, local folk hero Doug Burr will be handling the national anthem duties in Pizza Hut Park as FC Dallas hosts Real Salt Lake in the MLS Cup Conference Semis.

And, no offense to the original American Idol, but if we had to pick one of the two renditions to hear, we’re pretty sure we’d choose Burr’s.
