The sign’s up for Kenny’s Italian Kitchen, the newest entry in chef Kenny Bowers’ collection of casual eateries.

According to Brian Williamson, manager of Kenny’s Wood Fired Grill, the Addison restaurant should be open by November.

“It’s still a work in progress,” he says. “We’re just happy we got the space we wanted.”

The restaurant — located off Belt Line Road, east of the Tollway — will serve Italian-American classics at slightly lower prices than the 5-year-old Grill charges for its steaks and seafood.

“It’s very inspired by the Northeast of the U.S., not necessarily a region of Italy,” says Williamson.

According to Williamson, the new concept was developed in response to customer demand, and “Kenny’s love for the food.”
