Last Night at the Fair Park Fourth, the Smell of Patriotism and Pyrotechnics In the Air

A handful of parades and fireworks displays marked the country’s birthday around Dallas last night, the largest of them at the Cotton Bowl, where folks piled in to the watch the annual Fair Park Fourth pyro-spectacular.

As paddling in the swan boats gave way to lounging under the exploding night sky, our photographer Rachel Parker was there taking pictures, which you’ll find in this slide show.
