Turns out that last week’s 24-hour Guitar Hero III fund-raiser, during which Mayor Tom displayed the most awkward rock moves in this history of fake plastic guitars, was good for more than raising money. Word’s circulating this a.m. that a 13-year-old from Grapevine, Daniel Johnson, set a Guinness World Record for high score on a single song when he racked up 890,971 points on the very freakin’ difficult song “Through the Fire and Flames” by Dragonforce set to Expert — on his first attempt, no less.
