Nope, we’re definitely not the only ones digging MATAS’ Family Family Family Meets The Magic Christian disc. Just spotted this little bit o’ love today: AWMusic, the Toronto-based blog that gave Forever the Sickest Kids some love in its year-end lists, has named MATAS as its No. 1 Unknown Artists of the Year, which is a definite compliment, even if it might come with a bitter taste.
Writes the blog: “Life being a folk artist can be tough especially if you aren’t receiving absolutely rave reviews from Pitchfork and many other news outlets.”
