Well, actually, that’d be San Francisco-based Mother Jones writer Josh Harkinson, a Preston Hollow native (his parents still live here) who today posted an essay about what it’s like to grow up in the neighborhood populated by the likes of Ross Perot, Tom Hicks, AT&T CEO Rayford Wilkins Jr. and, once again, George and Laura Bush. Fun for reading, especially for the “tidbit of unsubstantiated cop gossip” toward the end of the story concerning Bush’s next (wha?) Dallas residence, “a walled estate near Perot’s property.” Pardon, I think Schutze’s head just rolled past my office.
