Dallas’ Lisa Loeb is known for a few things — talking “so” all the time, only hearing what she wants to, thinking that she can leave and later realizing that she was wrong, thinking that what she feels is simple — but, most of all, she’s probably known for her glasses, which she’s been seen in pretty much constantly since the release of her 1993 breakthrough, Reality Bites-backed single, “Stay (I Missed You).”
So, no surprise here then: Loeb’s now launching an eyewear company called, you guessed it, Lisa Loeb Eyewear.
And, next week, she’ll be celebrating the launch of her new venture with a performance right here in her hometown.
On Thursday, April 28, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Jack’s Backyard in Oak Cliff, she will perform an intimate acoustic set to bring in the new eyewear line with a huzzah, and also to benefit her Camp Lisa Foundation. Suggested cover is $5.

Anyway, speaking of area songstresses with a flair for fashion, this reminds us: What ever happened to that jewelry line Erykah Badu was supposed to be working on?
