The Dallas trio, who we profiled this week in preview of their excellent new album, Fake Infinity, just laid down a Violitionist Session, featuring two album tracks and an inspired cover of The Kinks’ “There’s a New World Just Opening For Me.” The original is spare and sad, but they manage to make the cover sound sinister and rhythmic and, well, their own.
