$10,000

Given all the money I’ve spent on Arcadia Publishing’s “Images of America” books about Ye Olden Dallas, it was mighty nice of the company to mail Unfair Park its two latest titles: Historic Dallas Hotels (which has an accompanying postcard set) and White Rock Lake, both of which are in stores February 1. Good timing too: Sally Rodriguez, historian for the Dallas Park and Recreation Department and author of the White Rock Lake book, will join Krys Boyd during the first hour of Think today at noon.

On a related note, Waldenbooks shutters its Valley View location today, and a clerk there confirms a shelf full of Arcadia’s other Dallas history books is still available … at 65 percent off.
