A real treat today, courtesy Paul Slavens, Doug Burr and the fine folks at KERA. Slavens, the longtime area musician and KERA radio host has launched a brand new podcast hosted on KERA’s web site called “Track By Track” in which he interviews area musicians about their albums, one song at a time. And, as the inaugural pod, which interviews Burr and focuses on his recently released Paslams-influenced disc, The Shawl, the talking points get pretty serious.

So, basically, it’s a far cry from the low-brow sensibilities of our own podcast. But I digress.

This one’s definitely worth a listen–if only to hear a sampling of The Shawl and to hear Burr discussing some of its backstory. Check it out.
