Sometimes, the best ideas are the simplest ones. Aaron Eiland, clearly, knows this well.

Look at his design history. This multiple POTW winner knows a couple things really well: Simple, bold lines and simplistic overall concepts.

And, hey, let’s face it: The most obvious, simple fact about Sia is that, yes, she’s very much an Aussie.

You can almost hear his design thought process in this poster if you look hard enough: What’s more Australian than kangaroos? Aside from koala bears, Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman and Olympic swimmer Ian “The Thorpedo” Thorpe, pretty much nothing, far as I can tell.

But that’s just the starting point in this overall quite charming design, which features a grown woman (presumably Sia herself) stuffed inside a kangaroo mum’s baby pocket, and a kangaroo that couldn’t be happier about it. Look at the detail at play here — the darker tones brought in for shading purposes, the lighter ones where some sheen should go and, most impressive of all, the detail in the wooden handle of the placard the kangaroo is holding.

And let’s not forget: He managed to get all the important, pertinent info onto the poster, too — venue, date and performer names.

Just an incredibly top-notch design from Eiland here — and one that only impresses more the longer you look at it.
