Keep Dallas Observer Free
We’re aiming to raise $10,000 by April 26. Your support ensures Dallas Observer can continue watching out for you and our community. No paywall. Always accessible. Daily online and weekly in print.
Today, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., you’re welcome to go down to Reunion Arena and inspect the merch, all of which is priced to move, move, move. From former season ticket-holder seating to the Sony JumboTron to pieces of the floor upon which Your Dallas Mavericks once dribbled their balls, everything’s gotta go by September 25. That’s when online bidding closes at Lone Star Auctioneers, whose Web site is hit or miss this a.m. as folks begin their early Christmas shopping. (You’ll be able to pick up your gifts on October 15.) But I’ve got my eye on the white 1990 four-door Caddy the city’s selling off in a separate abandoned-vehicles auction that closes Monday. The kids’ll love watching DVDs on the JumboTron we’re installing in the backseat. –Robert Wilonsky
