As Robert already mentioned a few days ago, Prince will be here soon, reliving his much blogged-about 1984 concert at Reunion Arena on Friday, February 4.
One minor snag, though: Reunion Arena was demolished a few years back. No matter — the show must go on.
Prince will set up a huge tent on the site of the former arena, and perform for some very VIPs. How vippy? Well, the price of the tickets could be enough to rebuild Reunion Arena. The cheap ones start at $1,500. The best seats are going for $25,000.
Or you could just go get a luxury vehicle.
Will you step up to support Dallas Observer this year?
We’re aiming to raise $30,000 by December 31, so we can continue covering what matters most to you. If the Dallas Observer matters to you, please take action and contribute today, so when news happens, our reporters can be there.
In less expensive concert news, for only $10, you can see Menkena, Novaak, and Mike Graff perform at La Grange on Saturday, January 22. Jimmy Menkena, who has been promising the release of his new record With You I’ll Travel for quite some time, will finally celebrate the album’s completion at this show. So bring some extra cash and grab a copy while you’re at it.
