To end the day, how about a couple of treats from Brandon Curtis, Josh Garza and Phil Karnats, the three Dallas ex-pats living in New York who, together, make up The Secret Machines?
Turns out, in late January, in lieu of any planes to release an album anytime soon, the trio released a couple singles. Y’know, just for kicks?
Curtis talked to Spinner.com about the singles back in January, but, beyond that, we never really heard much about the releases. Not sure why, since they’re kind of badass and all. Right up there with most of the cuts off 2008’s self-titled release, actually. Check out streams of both the songs the band quietly released (“Like I Can” and “Terrible Light”) after the jump. Well worth the listens, for sure.
