Somewhere in the midst of his presidential campaign, Texas’ junior senator and Simpsons fan Ted Cruz took the time to audition for the Simpson’s roles vacated by the recently retired Harry Shearer for Buzzfeed. The results are equal turns amusing and horrifying. Amusing, because Cruz as Mr. Burns is just about perfect and horrifying because of that look on Cruz’s face.
The voice actors vying for Shearer’s vacated post don’t have anything to worry about, Cruz does the same voice for each character he tries out for, but kudos to Cruz for being a good sport.
