SMU just sent word: Its first TED event, held last October on the Hilltop, was such a smash success that the university’s bringing it back to Dallas October 15 and 16. Alas, it won’t take place on the SMU campus: It’s moving to the Wyly Theatre, whose architect, Joshua Prince Ramus, spoke at the first TEDxSMU. (See for yourself.)
Says Mark Nerenhausen, president and CEO of the AT&T Performing Arts Center, in SMU’s missive, “The Wyly Theatre itself is the manifestation of some of the most radical architectural thinking of our generation, and therefore, provides the perfect setting for TEDxSMU, which spurs innovative thinking in a variety of subjects.” I only hope they invite Sarah Silverman again.
