Last we checked in with the booking goings-on for the fourth annual Dia de Los Toadies festival, there were only three bands attached to the thing: The Sword, Ume and, of course, the Toadies themselves.

Now, almost three months later, the fourth annual late August festival in New Braunfels (get your tickets here) appears to have added a couple more names to its lineup. Now confirmed to play the festival are Austin’s Quiet Company, Dallas’ King Bucks and New Braunfels’ Own Tornahdo. But the biggest name announced in the organizers’ most recent release? That would be The Black Angels, who just kicked some serious ass at The Loft this weekend.

Update: Just got word from Toadies management that the King Bucks have had to drop off the bill. They’ve been replaced by Fort Worth’s Whiskey Folk Ramblers.

Once again, we ask: Loudest Dia de Los Toadies ever? Sure looks like things are headed that way. We’ll keep you posted as more bands are announced.
