As consistent as a metronome, and slightly more entertaining, KTCK-AM (1310, The Ticket) again dominates the sports-talk radio landscape in quarterly Arbitron ratings released this morning. Make that: The Ticket dominates the entire local radio landscape.

Radio numbers are tricky and can be easily be twisted into deceptive appearances, but there’s no debating the bottom line: The Ticket is No. 1 in the highly coveted demographic of men 25 to 54 for the total listening week, and for the individual day parts of 6-10 a.m., 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and 3-7 p.m. It’s also The Ticket’s eighth straight ratings book — that’s two years running — during which the station ranks No. 1 in men 25 to 54 for the crucial listening period of Monday through Friday 6 a.m.-midnight. In other words, it’s safe to make the pronouncement: dynasty. –Richie Whitt
