It’s no secret: Local folktronic favorites Ishi boast quite the draw around town these days–and rightfully so. As you can see in the above clip, filmed by Rene Coronado on location at the band’s Sons of Hermann Hall CD release show on Saturday, May 15, the band can turn any locale–even an old, decidedly un-hip (if classic) venue like Sons–into a party.
But you already knew that, of course.
What you might not have known was why the band had fans sign a release upon entering the venue on the night of this release show.
Well, now you do.
