Rolling Stone reported yesterday that Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne — who is seemingly everywhere these days, like those owls I talked about last week — has put together an album of collaborations slated for April release.
While he’s already wrangled Bon Iver and Nick Cave (that is a collabo I would like to hear), Coyne mentions he’s still waiting on confirmation from Erykah Badu. Gotta say, that would be a pretty great pairing. Now if he could only get Yoko Ono and Erykah together…
You can see the Divine Miss Badu next Friday, January 20, at the Granada. She’ll also be spinning at PM Lounge tomorrow night as part of the club’s closing night blowout, which will also feature Rebirth Brass Band.
