Yesterday, Uncle Barky couldn’t get anyone at KDFW-Channel 4 to confirm that the Dallas Fox affiliate had chosen a new co-host for Good Day — one Lauren Przybyl, currently at the NBC affiliate in Boston. But moments ago, the Boston Globe got the official word from the vice president and general manager of the station at which the Dallas native and former TXCN’er has been an anchor since 2004: She’s leaving Boston next month and headed back to her hometown.
Przybyl, of course, replaces Megan Henderson, who, in February, headed west to KTLA in Los Angeles. As for Przybyl, well, I’m gonna go ahead and pronounce that bad boy as “Mxyzptlk.” What, not a Superman fan, hunh? (Update at 4:22 p.m.: Right after I posted this, I went through Uncle Barky’s comments and noticed someone else made this same joke this morning. Really, was it that obvious? Guess so. Damn it.)
