Last night, Mark Cuban posted to BlogMaverick his own version of a stimulus plan: “open-source funding.” Which means? You post a potential business idea to his blog, and if it’s good enough, folks will comment on the idea, build upon it or even steal it — and, just maybe, he’ll pay for it. There are rules, though, among them: It’s gotta be profitable within three months, and “it can not be a business that generates any revenue from
advertising,” which anyone in media will completely understand. Thus far, a few ideas have cropped up in the comments — “a screen that would go over airplanes engines which would prevent birds from being sucked up in the engines” and ticket-scalping among them. Then, at midnight-thirty, this one cropped up: high-grade California weed.
