Hey hippies. I know you’re pissed off about banks and the man and whatnot. But as this article in Mother Jones points out, you’re really missing out on a great opportunity. Everyone’s asking you for specifics, so get specific, and make food reform the backbone of your movement. Everyone’s gotta eat, and since you guys are chowing down on free grub from Dallas’ supportive businesses, food production, distribution and sales, food should be at the forefront of your minds.
MJ focuses on big business and food policy — banks controlling prices of commodities, pesticide manufactures controlling seed production and the evils of lobbying. But let’s get even more specific, and more local. Just look at what chain restaurants have done to the state of Tex-Mex. Think of how many people think a taco looks like this …

All because Taco Bell has a bigger advertising budget.
This is way more important than monetary policy and taxation. This effects everything you eat. And unless you subsist mostly on CSA and farmers-market vegetables, it effects everything you cook with as well.
