Johnny Cash knew a thing or two about pairing music with booze. The Man in Black was known for his whiskey-soaked performances, and also sang songs about drinking. On Friday, in his honor, the Zack King Band is going to combine music and alcohol. The band is schedule to play a set complete with an open bar following the opening night performance of Johnny Cash-inspired musical Ring of Fire at Casa Mañana Theater, 3101 West Lancaster Ave. in Fort Worth. Ring of Fire features more than 30 hits from Cash’s discography, including “I’ve Been Everywhere,” “The Man in Black” and “Ring of Fire.” Casa Mañana’s production of Ring of Fire runs from Friday until June 10 , and ticket prices range from $40 to $65 ($75 for Friday’s performance and admission to the afterparty) and can be purchased by calling 817-332-2272. For more information, visit casamanana.org.

Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: June 1. Continues through June 10, 2012
