Michael Malone is half cartoon, half observational comedian. He takes the stage with his ever-present bedhead to banter with the audience and tell jokes about everyday relatable things. Pretty common stuff for a comedy club, until he infuses them with cringing, elastic expressions and a stream of one-off character voices, all the while cracking up at his own jokes like some sort of throwback early-model Jimmy Fallon. This is okay, though, because the audience is laughing with him. Malone has a comedy album to his name, titled Let’s Get Physical and has toured as part of National Lampoon’s Operation Comedy Tour, appeared on CW Star and made guest appearances on a laundry list of satellite radio shows and podcasts. He performs at Hyena’s in Dallas (5231 E. Mockingbird Lane, Suite 220). Tickets start at $10. Visit hyenascomedynightclub.com
