Call me crazy, but when I first heard Kenny Chesney married Renée Zellweger, I actually thought they’d last. Not that I put much faith in celebrity marriages, but it just seemed romantic that the Hollywood starlet from Katy, Texas, embraced her rural roots and fell for the “aw, shucks” charms of the country singer from Knoxville, Tennessee. Sadly, I was proven totally wrong a mere four months later when the mean little hussy broke poor Kenny’s heart and filed for an annulment. But don’t worry about Kenny, because he put out a pretty good CD, The Road and the Radio, and has kept busy touring, while the wicked shrew hasn’t done anything since Cinderella Man. People like to make fun of Kenny (calling him “Kenny Cheesy”), but he’s an earnest little fella who’s come a long way from singing dumb songs about tractors to his latest beach bum image. He’ll keep selling out arenas and hopefully fall in love again while that puffy-faced tramp ends up bitter and alone with her Oscar statue.
