You know when you’re on a train and find yourself pondering humanity and the social condition? No? Well, lucky for us, artist Max Kazemzadeh did just that, so we don’t have to. He’s turned his findings into Express & Local, an interactive art installation that sheds light (and sound and movement) on hidden intricacies and meanings in public transit. Since he’s ridden more than four transit systems in three different countries in the past year, he’s had lots of opportunities to be inspired. Kind of makes us feel like slackers, since all we want to do on the train is eat a bagel and read. Express & Local runs through February 10 at The Arts Gallery at Collin County Community College, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway. in Plano. Admission is free. Hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. For information, call 972-881-5873 or visit ccccd.edu.
