Do you love whisky? Like, so much so that you don’t mind the missing E? Then there’s a society for you. And they don’t demand a pocket fob or a walrus mustache, either. It’s called The Scotch Malt Whisky Society and it’s co-hosting the 20th Annual Single Malt & Scotch Whisky Extravaganza along with Robb Report. The evening includes a gourmet dinner, a prestigious selection of scotches and whiskies from distilleries around the world and a sampling of premium cigars. Every bottle offered is rare and produced in limited quantities. The society has even warned that, once drunk, it’s gone forever. And with a focus of only the finest single-cask, single-malt whiskies, each with different flavors and aromas, can your curiosity honestly afford not to go? No, it can’t. Snoot it up from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Marriott Quorum, 14901 Dallas Parkway in Addison. Admission is $150 per person. Learn more at singlemaltextravaganza.com.
