Dallas has undergone a shocking culture shift over the last few years in the area of local craft beer. In just two years the region has spawned nearly half a dozen local breweries, and the flag-bearer for the hoppy armada is Peticolas Brewing Co. In the two years since Peticolas tapped its first keg, the company has unveiled nine brews, which are not only delicious but have inspired and poetic names like Golden Opportunity and Velvet Hammer (it hits you so softly). To celebrate its second birthday, Peticolas (2026 Farrington St.) is hosting its “2 Years, 10 Beers Anniversary Party.” The brewery will unveil its mystery 10th beer, only available at the party, and will have aged versions of both Great Scot! and the rich, almost doughnutty Wintervention. Tickets cost $15 and get you commemorative “2 Years, 10 Beers” glassware and five tokens redeemable for beer. Jump Billy Trio will supply the music.
