Unless you’ve got some seedy back alley connections, getting Cotton Bowl Classic tickets is impossible. If you do have those connections, holler. We love shady deals. The 2014 bowl game sold out in record time, leaving Oklahoma State Cowboys and Missouri Tigers fans equally flummoxed. But hey, you don’t have to watch the thing alone, sobbing into your 10-foot party sub. Hit up the watch party circuit instead. OSU alumni have staked claim on 6th Street Bar and Grill in Uptown (3005 Routh St.) and J. Gilligan’s Bar and Grill (400 E. Abram St.) in Arlington. They’re also staying at the Omni, Hyatt Place and Hilton DFW Lakes, so if the night demands a late celebration, swing by the hotel bars for sloppy high fives. Mizzou fanatics should get to the pregame rally and tailgate party at the Arlington Convention Center (1200 Ballpark Way, Arlington) from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Friday. You can pay the rally-only price of $5 and get some Cotton Bowl swag and enjoy an amped-up visit by the Marching Mizzou spirit squad. Shell an extra $50 to $55 for the barbecue buffet, unlimited beer, wine and soda and comfy chairs. Mmm, chairs. Afterward, go wherever: You’re not from OU, so you’re welcome all over town.
