When we hear about art that comes from trash or lack of sleep, we don’t know whether to be intrigued or worried. And if we, like some of the artists in 7 at the 6 (now at the Art Six Coffeehouse), designed jewelry based on self-torture and different stages of our lives, it would probably be decorated with wine corks and some loser’s house key. But we trust professionals like metal and jewelry artists Shea Mallet, Bess Siritanapivat, YoungHee Seo, Katrina Grandinetti and Moo-Yeon Cho to get it right. 7 at the 6 runs through May 13 with a reception from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. May 4 at Art Six Coffeehouse, 424 Bryan St., Denton. Admission is free. Call 940-369-9479.

May 3-13
