$10,000

Are you ready for some puck-pushing hockey? After the holiday season, sometimes a little ice aggression is exactly what we need and the Dallas Stars give it to us. They won’t just have a home-game advantage this time, but will also be used to playing a cold sport in a “hot” climate. The same can’t be said about their opponents, Canada’s Edmonton Oilers, the NHL’s northernmost team. The Stars and Oilers hit the ice 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at American Airlines Center, 2500 Victory Ave. Tickets are $17 to $307. Call 214-GO-STARS or visit stars.nhl.com.

Tue., Jan. 11, 7:30 p.m., 2011
