With recent news of dog attacks and chimp maulings (OK, just one chimp mauling, but even that seems excessive to us), we would like a refresher on teaching our furry, feathered and finned friends to behave. So, we’re excited to learn that the University of North Texas is offering a day-long, pet-friendly event that tackles just that. The Art and Science of Animal Training: Where Are We Now? Where Are We Going? takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the University of North Texas, University Union Building, 1155 Union Circle in Denton. Admission is $125. Call 940-382-9060 or orgs.unt.edu/orca.
Fri., March 20, 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m., 2009
