Some bus tours are all hype and no substance, like those buses that shuttle blue-haired grannies to Louisiana for slots and steak dinners. Your money is better spent elsewhere, so skip the casino bus and hop on the cool kids’ bus for Scardello’s cheesemaker tour. The tour is heading to Fort Worth, with stops at Eagle Mountain Cheese and Veldhuizen Cheese, but make sure you wear your jeans and boots. You’ll be visiting milking parlors and stomping through farmland, all while eating cheese and sipping wine. At least that’s what we would do at a farm. The bus departs from NorthPark Center at 9 a.m., so arrive about 30 minutes early to raid the food court and reserve your seat on the bus. The bus will return at 6 p.m. For more information and reservations, visit scardellocheese.com.
