What do you do when a major life change occurs and you’re not happy about it? There are many negative ways to handle change. But when artist Gary Perrone was diagnosed with HIV 20-years ago, he ignored them all in favor of exploring his creativity. His mixed-media “mindscapes” (drawing, painting and sculpture) are inspired by his thoughts, emotions and memories throughout this journey. See Subroutine by Perrone from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesdays through Saturdays through September 30 at the mod.shop Gallery, 5840 Alpha Road. Admission is fee. Call 214-604-6392 or visit modshopinc.com.
Tuesdays-Saturdays, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Starts: Aug. 15. Continues through Sept. 30, 2009
