George Segal is the sculptor behind one of the Nasher Sculpture Center’s most recognizable works, “Rush Hour,” a group of life-sized people posed as though walking to work. “Rush Hour” is a good representative of Segal’s work, which is largely comprised of life-size figures presented alongside elements from the everyday. This spring, the Nasher Sculpture Center exhibits 15 of Segal’s installations. In conjunction with the exhibition, the Nasher hosts two days of educational workshops about Segal’s work and technique. Experience Everyday People, Extraordinary Art from 10 a.m. to noon, Thursday and Friday at the Nasher Sculpture Center, 2001 Flora St., as part of the Nasher’s Chase Homeschool Workshops.
