Ben and Jerry’s has released another celebrity-inspired ice cream, and it’s kind of a big deal.
While shooting “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues,” Ron Burgundy found time to also churn some ice cream. The new flavor “ScothyScotchScotch” is reference to a quote in the first movie, but not the exact kind of Scotch Will Ferrell’s character was drinking down into his belly.
As oppose to other celebrity ice creams like Late Night Snack from Jimmy Fallon and Americone Dream from Stephen Colbert, both of which have bouquets of hidden treats in tucked away in the ice cream, Burgundy’s new flavor is rather simple: butterscotch ice cream with butterscotch swirls.
“Scotchy, Scotch, Scotch is a delicious ice cream and I hope Ben and Jerry consider my other suggestions,” said Ron Burgundy in a press release. “Malt liquor marshmallow, well liquor bourbon peanut butter, and cheap white wine sherbet.”
The new ice cream is already available in Scoop Shops and should roll out to stores in the next few weeks. It’s a limited time thing, so get it while it’s hot.
“Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues” will hit theaters December 20.
