Now that Disney no longer owns them, it’s a lot harder to bag on the Anaheim Ducks these days, especially considering their Stanley Cup win last season. In fact, since they finally won the big one, it’s highly possible you’ll be seeing other professional sports franchises named after children’s films in the near future. How about the Buffalo Bad News Bears? Or maybe the Edmonton Eds (Don’t lie, you saw it—”You mean Joey from Friends plays baseball with a chimp? Awesome!”). Or even the Albuerquerque Air Buds. This Sunday your Dallas Stars take on the newly mature Ducks (“I want you to call me Duck now Dad! Mighty Duck sounds so childish!”) at the AAC. The puck drops at 2:30 p.m. Visit ticketmaster.com.
