Sunset Lounge on Ross Avenue is quite the looker. So, did you know they have $3 happy hour food and drink specials every Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.? If you need more convincing, check their photo stream.

Four Corners Brewing is having a little party tonight (Thursday, June 27). From the official invite: “Out on good behavior, Four Corners Brewing will celebrate the release of El Chingón India Pale Ale this Thursday at the brewery.”

The new beer is described as “72 IBUs of smooth, hop testosterone using a bad ass blend of 5 American hop varieties staged through 5 kettle additions.” If you can taste those words, you should definitely go. Doors open at 6 p.m., beer to be tapped at 7:15, tour at 8, doors close at 9:30.

Urban Taco knows that Thursday is the thirstiest of all days. All summer their tasty margaritas and mojitos are half-off on Thursday evenings and they have complimentary seasonal guacamole bites.

This Saturday Cedar Creek Brewery is throwing an inaugural anniversary brouhaha. It’s a beer, barbecue and band event, starting at noon. Tickets are $35 at the door or $25 online. The brewery is located near Seven Points, a wee bit southeast of Dallas. If you’re not familiar with this brewery, well, here’s a snippet from their website: “Nestled deep within the wild, where the wolves run in packs, howlin’ their life stories to the moon, and the beer sparkles in the sunrise.” See? They’re your kind of people. So, go and be free.

Also, let’s not miss Ten Bells Tavern’s one year anniversary party on Sunday. Merriment will be flowing freely, as well as drink and food specials. It’s an all-day thing.
