Sure, we’re feeling a little green. St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner, and we have some celebrating to do. But we’re also feeling green in a much more environmentally-friendly way, too.

Although there’s plenty of organic material left behind after the Greenville Avenue parade…

But that’s not what we’re talking about. The Green Spot Market & Fuels has always been a gas station exclusively for the tree-huggers among us (pumping biodiesel, natch). Now, however, it’s more than a gas station. It’s also a stop and shop food market which recently began to sell organic and local produce. It has even formed a Produce Club, which includes a 10 percent discount on all produce (excluding sale items), the ability to place special orders and suggest suppliers, a recipe exchange program and more for a $25 annual fee, which includes two membership cards per household.

The Green Spot also offers fair trade coffee, a natural soda fountain and gourmet sandwiches (whatever that means).

We’re thankful for you. Are you thankful for us?

We feel thankful for our staff and for the privilege of fulfilling our mission to be an unparalleled source of information and insight in Dallas. We’re aiming to raise $30,000 by December 31, so we can continue covering what matters most to this community.
Help us continue giving back to Dallas.

$30,000

Come warm weather…well, consistent warm weather…The Green Spot will hold local market days once a month from 8:00 a.m. to noon and will feature local produce, dairy products, meats, eggs and other locally produced items. Look for it at 702 N. Buckner, over on the east side of White Rock Lake.
