Good Records’ Kevin Sears created this beautiful gig poster for Friday’s show at the lovely Kessler Theater in Oak Cliff. It’s a show we’re quite excited about, of course, so it’s great to see such a cool flyer promoting it. Making it even more interesting a bill is a late addition to the lineup not mentioned on the poster: The Dallas Family Band, whose story we delved into a couple of weeks ago.
I won’t bore you with too much armchair art analysis, other than to say I dig the contrast between the jet-black typewriter and the muted colors of the lettering and fruit sprouting from the antique machine, as well as the textured paper, which I’m sure looks much cooler in person than on the screen.
