Thanks to Sandy, Deadspin is a shadow of its normal self right now, but it’s functioning well enough to direct our attention to a piece reported last week at TCU 360.
It seems there is a controversy simmering at the school over a bronze statue unveiled earlier this month at the student union. The piece of, er…art, dubbed SuperFrog, cost an astounding $50,000 and was paid for by student government without, it appears, going to the trouble to take a vote. The student body must now decide whether they are more offended by the abridgement of the democratic process or the statue itself.
