Apparently, Republican Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson once promised to serve but two terms in office before calling it quits–and by “apparently,” I mean this is what The Dallas Morning News reported she said back in May 1993: “Senators should be restricted to two six-year terms.” Guess some folks ain’t happy that the “do-nothing, aging-prom-queen senator” from Dallas is running for a third term. –Robert Wilonsky
